NOTE: Configuration specification rules can be commented out by inserting a # as the first character in a line. Rules are processed in order from the first line to the last line. The first rule selecting an element wins, this maybe seen by doing a cleartool ls file name or cleartool ls -d directory.

To read the on line product documentation for configuration specifications execute cleartool man config_spec.
